There were no reliable sightings of the new crescent today (29th Ramaḍān/ 30th April) across the international horizons. Accordingly, ‘Eid Al-Fitr will be on Monday 2nd of May, 2022 In-sha Allah.
We wish everyone a blessed conclusion of Ramaḍān with one final day of fasting and a joyful and safe ‘Eid Al-Fiṭr.
We are aware of reported sightings in Afghanistan, Niger and Mali, however they were before conjunction.  

Mask Regulations Update

In accordance with Thunder Bay district health unit and government of Ontario, All prayers congregations are open to the public. However, Mask / Face covering is recommended, not required. 

Eid Al-Adha Moonsighting 2021

1st Dhul Hijjah is on Sunday 11th July, 2021.
‘Eīd Al-Adhā will be on 20th July, 2021. 
The new crescent has been confirmed seen today in Jordan, Palestine and Germany with optical aid. 
We anticipate more sightings as the day progresses in the west.

Masjid is Open

Masjid is Open to the Public in accordance with Health Unit Restrictions.

Masjid will operate with a 15% occupancy rate at all times.

Stay-at-home Order

According to the new Stay-at-home order in Ontario, Masjid is only allowing 10 people at a time.
There will be a schedule for people to come for different prayers at different times.
There will be no Jumm’a sermon until further notice.

TBDHU Shutdown

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) will be in a shutdown, starting Saturday, April 3, 2021, at 12:01 a.m., for at least 4 weeks as part of the Government of Ontario Provincewide Emergency Break Shutdown that was announced today. Masjid will be OPEN to the public with only 15% (around 25 people) capacity allowed by the Government of Ontario.
